WHAT ARE FACIAL FILLERS?

Facial fillers are products such as collagen, hyaluronic acid and calcium hydroxyl apatite that rejuvenate facial skin by reducing or eliminating wrinkles, raising scar depressions, enhancing lips and replacing soft-tissue volume loss through facial injections.

WHEN SHOULD I USE FACIAL FILLERS?

It's a part of life — our skin changes as we age. It becomes thinner, loses fat, and no longer looks as plump and smooth as it once did. Facial aging actually begins in your 20s, when skin firmness begins to decrease as a result of both internal (genetics and natural aging) and external (sun exposure, smoking, stress, etc.) factors. As part of the natural aging process, volume in the hands can also deteriorate over time, making them appear aged.

LIP AUGMENTATION

 

Whether you were born with thin lips or your lips are thinning due to the natural aging process, there are various ways to enhance them. Our unique style of injection evokes the classic, timeless aesthetic of beautiful lips. Juvederm, Restylane, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Silk, and Volbella are soft Hyaluronic Acid fillers used to augment the lips, enhancing both the shape and fullness.  Hyaluronic acid is an all-natural, skin-identical structural protein similar to collagen. It is present in youthful skin but diminishes as we age. By strategically placing fillers to accentuate the lip, we can create a subtle fullness and enhance the natural shape of your lip. The classic aesthetic of the lips states that the lower lip should be 1.5 to 2 times the size of the upper lip.

As you age, you can also start to see those dreaded vertical lip lines. These can be reduced by using a small amount of Botox, which softens the muscle above the lip to accentuate the shape and reduce these wrinkles.

UNDER EYE FILLER

The treatment of under eye bags, hollows, and dark circles is a popular procedure performed at BeautyFix. Often, dark circles are the result of fat bulging in the lower eyelid that is exaggerated by a hollow area called the "tear trough." In many instances, this can be treated using fillers under the eyes. We typically use Restylane, Vollure, Restylane Refyne, Belotero or Volbella in this area. You can also use a series of 3 PRP injections to improve the overall under-eye area. Harvesting your bodies own PRP and re-injecting it stimulates collagen and elastin, improves circulation, and reduces the appearance of fine lines, dark circles, and wrinkles over time.
In some patients, an underlying volume loss in the cheek area can lead to tired-looking under eyes, in which case Voluma or Restylane Lyft may be used in lieu of, or in combination with an under-eye filler. These unique HA fillers add instant volume to the cheek, which can further improve the look of the under eyes by restoring the proper cheek support. Botox and Dysport are muscle relaxants that are best injected along the edges of the eyes to reduce the appearance of fine lines, crow’s feet, and can help brighten up the eye area by relaxing the muscles that pull down the brow as well.
